General Guideline
We design your album based on the 'Big Day' story-telling. Your album design will be likely started from the bride's home, getting in the limousine, church, outdoor, reception, studio shots... We will email you a low resolution PDF (smaller file for email purpose) for your preview in 7-10 business days. You may request up to 3 reasonable changes. We will charge $5 per spread change starting the 4th revision. Once you approve the design, your order will be shipped in 15-20 business days.
File Preparation
Because we were not in the event, you can help us to identify the timeline by arrange your image files in sequence. There are 2 ways to arrange your images.
a. Number Sequence - name your images in chronological order so we can follow the image file numbering.
b. Spread Folders - create individual spread folders, put the corresponding images in each folder.
Also, you need to identify the cover image. Name the front cover image 'front cover'.
Images per Spread Page
We believe less is more! We recommend 3-7 images per spread. Our designers can be more creative with fewer images per spread (instead of boring boxes on every page). As a rule of thumb:
10 spread album: 30-70 images ($2 for each additional image)
15 spread album: 45-105 images ($2 for each additional image)
20 spread album: 60-140 images ($2 for each additional image)
Color Corrections
At the present time, we don't provide color correction service to your photos. You need to color correct your photos before uploading to us.
Changes & Revisions
You may ask up to 3 changes to your album design. Album design is very time consuming so please be reasonable for these revisions.
Logo File
Please submit your studio logo in a high resolution, clean JPEG file for silver imprint with no special effect such as shadow, grow, etc. We don't keep your logo on file, so you will have to upload your studio logo with each album order. You can choose to have your logo imprint.
File Upload
You will be able to upload your files after the order checkout process. Please be sure to include all your album print files, foil stamp names & event date file, your studio logo file, and gallery box cover file, etc.
Prepare your files in RGB color mode, 300dpi resolution. Save your files in JPEG format. Our albums are flush mounted so you will have to count the left and right sides as one single spread file.
Name your album spread files as 00 cover, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06 ...... 10, 11, 12 .... etc. If you will order a custom album box along with your album order, name the box ifle 00 box.
Album Cover File
For Crystal Glass Slimline album cover
You need to give us the 0.2" bleed on each side for trimming. You should avoid putting important elements such as text, a person's head, hands too close to the edge or part of it could be trimmed. These important elements should be designed 0.5" within your album cover size. For example, if your album cover size is 10"x10", the safe zone for these elements is within 9.5"x9.5". You may submit the album cover Photoshop file with layers so we can adjust these critical elements for you.
For Image-Wrap Slimline album cover
The photo on an Image-Leather album cover is a wrap around and tuck under the front cover. Therefore, it require 0.75" (0.25" side edge + 0.5" tuck underneath the cover) on each side for wrapping. Avoid putting important text, a person's head, hands, etc. too close to the edge or they could be wrapped under the cover. These important elements should be designed 0.5" within your album cover. If your album size is 10"x10", the safe zone for these elements is within 9.5"x9.5". The overall image file size should be 11.5"x11.5". You can give us Photoshop files with layers so we can adjust to fit our template.
Inside Page File (1 page = 1 spread = 2 sides)
An album size is indicated by the album cover, not by the inside pages. Therefore, the inside panoramic spreads are 0.25" smaller than the album cover on all edges. For example, a 10x10 album opens into 20x10. The inside spread size is 19.5x9.5. When designing an inside page for a 10x10 album, the file size should be 20x10, the spread would be trimmed at 19.5x9.5, so the safe zone is 19.25x9.25 and all important elements like text, hears, hands, etc. should be kept within to avoid being trimmed off.
